Hello there, I hope everyone is doing well and ready for Spring. I know most of us over here in the Mid-West are soooo ready for outdoor activities. As much as I would love to stay in and lock myself in my craft room, It's just not possible. Especially since my Granddaughter is asking everyday to go to the park. So welcome Spring!

So as I was thinking of Spring, I thought of one of my favorite flowers, which is the Millinery flowers. Too bad I can't find them at  the local stores, I usually have to order them online. So I thought I would figure out a way to make them myself. I pulled out one of my Spellbinders die, "Peony", and I was able to make a cute little dup. I had lots of fun making them. Some of the supplies I used were stamens, Tim Holtz distress inks, McGill flower shaping tools, Glossy Accents, Prima chalk edgers in White, and some handmade papers or just regular card stock. I will ad a link to the YouTube tutorial on my channel. If you have time, I hope you will take a looksie. Have fun and be blessed and Thanks for watching. Big hugs, Carmen

Happy New Year to You.

Hello, I know that it has been so long since I last posted. I am so sorry, My new year resolution is to be more active on my blog. I have been extra busy with working at the office. My husband and I Pastor a church and I also work in the office. I also babysit from time to time. I have 4 grand children, what can I say.

I hope everyone is enjoying the new year. My prayer is that The Lord will bless you and your family tremendously. Live, Love and Laugh. Enjoy those around you and cherish every moment with them.

I wanted to share a card that I made for a friend. I know that I am a little late with this card. I colored the image a while ago and I just had to use it. The image is a Whimsy Stamp Art by Mi Ran collection. It is called "Letter to Santa" I just love it. I colored her with copics and added some glimmer with my wink of stella pen. I also added glossy accents to the boots. The papers that I used are from Pinkpaislee, City Sidewalks. The sending happy mail stamp is from Simon Says Stamps and it is called, Sending Happy Thoughts. The base that I used for my card is a corrugated card from Michael's. Love how it turned out. I hope you enjoyed it also. Thanks for stopping by and May God bless you, Big Scrappy hugs, Carmen

Hello

Hello everyone,  I would like to say that I cannot believe it has been so long since my last blog post. For a while there I forgot my password.  It seems that I have to write stuff down now a days. So much has been happening in my life.  I have been super busy working in the church office. I have had a chance here and there to get in a little craft time. I have been active on Facebook, because I find it easy to upload and post a picture If I whip up a card real quick.  I have not uploaded a video to Youtube in awhile. If I am not at the office I am babysitting my Grand daughter Liani, she is almost 3. You can imagine, she keeps me on my toes. I need to find more time, but the truth is. She wears me out. Lol.

Here is a card that I created for a challenge on CreatingTheCraftyLife.ning.com If you have not been there, You really need to check it out. It's a place to share your talent, enter challenges and meet great friends. For this card I used The Stationer's Desk paper collection by Prima Marketing. I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a handmade one that I created with an Ek Success punch. I also used several dies and a stamp from the Princess collection. also by Prima. Hope you love my card. I really enjoyed making it. Thanks so much for stopping by. May God bless you all, hugs Carmen

Hello and Happy New Year.

Hello my crafty friends, First of all I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I pray all of God's goodness and Grace upon your lives. Secondly I do want to say that I have been neglecting this blog for way too long. Sometimes life just happens and we get tied up. So much has happened in the last year. First of all we lost someone who was so dear to me and my Family and Church family. He was the assistant Pastor to my husband and I. We went through a rough time and shortly after my husband began to have liver failure and it all just happened so fast. But God is always faithful, He has since had a transplant and is now doing much better. Thank You Jesus. So as you can see much has happened, but I want to be able to share more with you in 2014. Thanks so much for stopping by and May The Lord watch over you and your family, God bless Carmen

I'm back!

Hello everyone,  I know its been awhile but I have been extremely busy to say the lest. Much has happened in the past several months.  We had a death in our church. He was a very special person who was more like a son than just a church member.  He was a big brother to all of my children.  It has been extremely hard. Also my husband has been in and out of the hospital with a couple of close calls. He is on the list for a liver transplant so we have been very busy. On top of that I have had to do alot of the office work at the church.  My hope and my strength is in The Lord. Thank you all for stopping by. I  do hope to find time to post some cards or projects soon. Love you and God bless you, xoxo Carmen
